Last but certainly not least, we are excited to tell you about a limited edition 7” single we will be releasing in the new year – our version of the song “What the World Needs Now Is Love” (produced by Lawrence Katz and the Bosstones and mixed by Paul Kolderie) featuring an unreleased original BossToneS song “I Won’t Go Out Like That” as the B-side. “What the World Needs Now Is Love” was originally released in 1965 with lyrics by Hal David and music composed by Burt Bacharach. “It’s a message and/or a reminder that we would like to share with the world for the holidays during these seemingly difficult and trying times. The song doesn’t take a side but it definitely takes a stance.” – says frontman Dicky Barrett

As our gift to thank you for your support we would like to give you a free download of the song.

Please feel free to share!

2016_claddaghOur annual Hometown Throwdown VIP Fundraiser will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29 in The Foundation Room at House of Blues. This year the beneficiary will be The Claddagh Fund. The Claddagh Fund is the official charity of the Dropkick Murphys established to leverage the generosity of the fans to raise money for the most vulnerable populations in our community. They focus their support on children’s and veterans’ organizations and providing grants to individuals who are in need of addiction recovery services.

As you may know, MMB has a long history with Dropkick Murphys and we are very proud to be supporting this great organization.

We are selling a very limited amount of tickets to this event available through this link beginning at 10am EST on  Friday, Dec. 23.

Limit 2 per person. Fundraiser tickets are not good for admission to the show at House of Blues.

In addition to a “Meet & Greet” with the band, there will also be an art exhibition set up in the Foundation Room showcasing the amazing art of San Diego based artist Nan Coffey NanWasHere.com. Nan created the brilliant artwork featured in this year’s Throwdown poster.

Our fundraiser sponsors this year have contributed some amazing packages that will be raffled with all proceeds going to the Claddagh Fund.

Thank you to Ernie Boch Jr., Sonos, Fred Perry, Boston Red Sox, The Middle East, Dropkick Murphys, Scalawags, Hot Stove, Cool Music and more!
